Short Biography:
I live in the Rosedale community and am married for 47 years to Charles Evans. We have one child (Debbie) a son-in-law (Mike) and one grandchild 14 years old (Joshua) who attends Calhoun High. Their last name is Smoker. We have been very blessed in our lives, not to say we haven't had our troubles and heartaches but the Lord has been good. I have been retired from Rome News Tribune a little over a year now and Charles retired from Floyd County Public Works at the same time (he had worked there 42 years!) I got married and left school in the 10th grade but later went on to get my GED. I attended our 45th class reunion on Saturday night November 1st, 2003 and really enjoyed getting to see everyone again, some I see occasionally but some I hadn't seen since I left school. I appreciate being invited although I didn't actually graduate with my class but a lot of us had been together from first grade. It will be a great memory for me, hope I get to attend the 50th! | |

I married Doug in November 1981. He is from Kentucky. He is a self-employed brick/block mason. We have a daughter Amy. She was born November 1987 and now attends AHS. She was born with spina-bifida. She is paralized from the waist down and uses a wheelchair for mobility. She is a joy to everyone she meets. :) I worked full time (mainly in bookkeepping) until Amy was born. We currently are living here in Georgia. Have lived in Kentucky a couple of times for a total of 8 years. Amy is trying to talk us into moving to PCB, Florida after she graduates. We love the beach and have friends that live in PCB, so we visit often. We also enjoy camping. I just love this site and it was great to see what some of you have been up to. | |

I left school early by taking my GED, in order to go to work and help my mother with medical problems. Later I attended Floyd College and Coosa Valley Technical College and studied Nursing. I still like one more year to graduate. I worked for years in the medical field at Fifth Avenue Health Care, Sun Mountain Nursing Center, and Floyd Medical Center. Then I was with a finance company for 7.5 years as Branch Manager. In January 2002 I married my best friend and one true love since 1998 Fouad Gawad, who is a pharmacist from Egypt, and we left Rome and came to Florida. He is a pharmacist as a leading retail chain and I am having fun at Walt Disney World. I have one son, Terry who is 19 now and lives in Rome. He went to Armuchee through the sixth grade and was quite a football player, then he finished school in Alabama when we moved there. | |

Right now I am employed with a background agency that completes security clearances on Nuclear Power Plant workers. I have been married for 3 years to Dean Morgan-he is now attending Brevard College for his B.S. in Graphic Design. I am attending Blue Ridge College for who knows what (working toward my A.S. right now). As far as children, we have none, unless you would count Raisin...our black Shar-pei and Paco...our brown Pit Bull, those are our kids. I hope everyone else is doing well. I have only kept in touch with a small amount of people since High School. It's amazing how much people can change...or stay the same.
